Wine tasting at cellar doors in the beautiful Hunter Valley is a delightful way to explore what you like in a wine. From the iconic grape varieties to emerging varieties and new blends, you’ll taste distinctive and innovative wines among the rolling vineyards of Australia’s oldest wine region.

More cellar doors are open to visitors than any other wine region in Australia. You can visit the cellar doors directly or join one of the many wine tours. Some wineries have restaurants where you can enjoy the wines with delicious food created by talented chefs using the freshest local produce.

With fertile soils fed by the Hunter, Goulburn, Williams and Paterson rivers and a temperate climate, the Hunter Valley produces some of the best wines in the world and has some of the oldest vine stocks in the world. The aged Hunter Valley Semillon is considered an international benchmark.
