How much does a private jet cost?

One of the most common questions we get asked is ‘How much is it to hire a private jet?’. The answer is probably not as much as you might think! From as little as $4950 for the day in our light jet, you can have your own private charter for yourself and up to 4 friends. That means a luxurious getaway from Sydney to the Hunter Valley for that special occasion is certainly within grasp!

How do I charter a plane?

Chartering a jet is as simple as giving us a call!  We will talk through with you your exact requirements and our experienced customer service team can take it from there – you just need to turn up and enjoy your Navair experience.

Are there any special security or safety requirements when I fly on a charter jet?

Navair takes your safety and security seriously.  Our impeccable safety record is testament to our commitment to your security and comfort.  One of the many things you can enjoy when flying with Navair is the ability to avoid the long and tedious security check in points that you have when you fly with commercial airlines. What types of goods are prohibited onboard a charter jet?

Travelling via charter jets affords you much more freedom with your luggage and the goods that you travel with – simply chat with us for any special luggage requirements you have and we can assist to make sure your goods are transported safely. There are, however, a list of goods which are classified as dangerous by the Australian Civil Aviation Safety Authority and are therefore prohibited on any aircraft in Australia.  Dangerous goods are items or substances that when transported by aircraft are a risk to health, safety, property or the environment – you can review the list of dangerous goods that are prohibited on aircraft at the following link – https://www.casa.gov.au/safety-management/dangerous-goods 

Can I take my cat, dog or other pet on a charter flight?

Yes!  One of the specialist services we offer at Navair is Pets on Jets!  Flying by private charter is the only way you can fly with your pet in the cabin with you instead of in a dark and either hot or cold baggage hold!  Read more about our Pets on Jets service here.

How much extra is it to take my pet with me?

Our costs are based on per flight hours.  If you are flying with us and there is room for your pet to travel with you, there is no additional cost. Read more about our Pets on Jets service here.

Are there size restrictions on the types of pets I can travel with?

Generally speaking we can handle most domestic pets, but if you have an unusually large pet just give us a call or shoot through a quick email and we can work out the best plan of action for you and your furry, scaly or feathered friend! Read more about our Pets on Jets service here.

What is a medical evacuation?

Often shortened to medevac or medivac, a medical evacuation is the safe transportation of individuals needing medical attention en route.  It may be the transportation of someone from overseas back home to Australia, or from one medical facility to another – for example from a rural or remote location to a metro location.  Patients are provided with an appropriately equipped vehicle and medical staff to assist with the safe transportation. Can I claim the costs of medical evacuation on my health care?

Depending on the circumstances around your medevac and your insurance coverage, you may be able to cover some of the costs associated through insurance.  This question is best discussed with your medical / travel insurance provider.

Can you facilitate a medical evacuation from Asia to Australia?

Are you able to fly in and out of Sydney after curfew?

Yes!  Certain types of Jets meet the noise requirements to be able to fly in and out of Sydney during the curfew. Give us a call to find out more.
